Chris Allmann: I am driven to help students overcome barriers that impact their learning. I have earned a Master's Degree in Special Education from the University of Alabama (1998) and a Bachelor's Degree in Communication from the University of St. Thomas (1992). In addition, I earned a Reading License from the University of Minnesota (2012) because I am passionate about ensuring that all students read and write. I have taught literacy intervention classes as well as special education resource classes in both elementary and middle school settings. When I'm not teaching,

I graduated from Lawrence University (2003, B.A., Major: Linguistics) and the University of Minnesota (2008, M.A. in Speech-Language Pathology). I am delighted to work with the students at Seward Montessori! I help our students find their voices so that they can express their thoughts clearly and participate successfully in their classes. I work with students on speaking clearly and fluently, healthy vocal habits, and their use and understanding of spoken language. I enjoy paddling, hiking, improv, and being with friends and family.

My name is Erin Kasper. I have been

Schools since 1996.  I was born with a severe hearing loss in both ears and have worn hearing aids since I was 2 years old.  Growing up, I was the only kid in my entire school who had a hearing loss.  By the time I was in high school, I knew I wanted to work with young people who also had a hearing loss.  I wanted to make sure kids like me didn’t feel alone!  My favorite part of being a teacher for children with hearing loss is having the opportunity to empower them by teaching them strong self-advocacy skills and a sense of pride!
