Seward Montessori benefits from an active and engaged community of families and staff committed to enriching the student experience.

What is PTA

Seward Montessori PTA hosts events to foster community and create fun experiences for Seward students and families. The PTA raises money to support students, teachers, and staff. We purchase supplies and other equipment that are not covered by the school budget. We fund field trips. We also provide mini-grants to teachers and staff to allow them to purchase special classroom materials, pursue professional development, and plan enrichment activities that would not otherwise be possible. The PTA wouldn't exist without family involvement, we need your help! The PTA chair, Jess Nelson can be reached at chair@sewardmontessori.org.

Join the PTA Board or a Committee

Take on a role within the PTA, such as Chair, Co-Chair, Treasurer, or Committee Lead. Board member responsibilities include attending monthly PTA meetings, attending additional Executive Committee/Principal/Committee meetings as needed, promoting communication, parent engagement, and supporting events.

There are separate sub-committees that plan and support many of the community and fundraising events we typically hold throughout the school year at Seward Montessori. We would love your involvement in a committee that interests you!

Volunteer

PTA-sponsored events can't happen without volunteers. We put out the call via Seward PTA Facebook, Seward Shark newsletter and email throughout the school year with details about volunteering.
