In 1991, I graduated with a degree in Elementary Education/ Kindergarten Endorsement from North Central University in Minneapolis (formerly NCBC) and years later acquired my Montessori Certification at MMTTC in Evanston IL. I enjoy time spent with my family: husband, two daughters, one son and one pet named, Posey.  Together we like to take bike rides, play board games and enjoy meals.  On my own, I love to curl up with a good book or listen to one while I  do a variety of hand crafts: spinning wool, knitting, and quilting.

with an excellent educational experience  I am focused on engaging each child in the learning process through a carefully crafted, specialized environment where each learner is free to explore and reach their full potential. My focus is on each individual child, and how I can facilitate his/her learning through independent choice and promoting curiosity by providing extensions and applications of the materials in the classroom. One tenet of the Montessori philosophy is, " Follow the child". This is how our High Five classroom is set up: to provide learning experiences that encourage growth and development according to each child's terms. I am always striving to engage and extend each child's learning, and I look forward to teaming with you to know your child and his/her individual needs. I find great satisfaction in this work! On a personal note: I have 3 children of my own (and a husband, Todd): Brett, my oldest, is a student at Metro State University, and lives with us in our home in Minneapolis. My daughter,

Berit, lives in New York City, and is in college working toward a music degree. My youngest daughter, Ingrid, is a nurse and lives in Minneapolis, also. I hope this gives you an idea about my enthusiasm for our youngest (and most precious) resource: our children. I look forward to knowing each of you in this oming school year. Most sincerely, Eve

Christy Kujawa, M.Ed., Licensed Parent Educator: I'm the Family and Parent Educator for Seward, working closest with Miss Eve in High Five and trying to connect with families as they begin their journey at Seward. This will be my second year there. I support six schools in this way so move around quite a bit in the district. I went for both undergrad and graduate studies to the University of MN and my degree is in Family Education. 3 fun facts about me: (1) I have two kiddos of my own: Mason, my daughter - age 12, and Miles, my son-age 14, (2) I love to bike and usually bike over 100 miles a week, and (3) orange is my favorite color.
