Meet the School Nurse and Health Office Assistant
Andrea Dishong School Nurse
Andrea Dishong

Andrea Dishong, Licensed School Nurse: I am the school nurse and received my nurse’s training from Minneapolis Community and Technical College and Aspen University. Before becoming a nurse, I earned a Master of Liberal Arts from the University of South Florida. I taught ethics and philosophy throughout the community college system in the Twin Cities, and elementary education in St. Paul. Upon becoming a Registered Nurse in 2007, I worked (and still do) in the Emergency Department at North Memorial Health Hospital and M Health Fairview Southdale Hospital. Combining my academic and medical experience has afforded me the amazing opportunity of becoming a school nurse at Seward! I love my job and am honored to work with your kids – I learn from them every day. I have two children, who also attend Minneapolis Public Schools, a husband, who is a community college professor (we love community college!), and a dog, Buffy, named after my most favorite and beloved television show.    --   612.668.4953 -- Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday 7:00-3:00

Greta Regan Health Office Assistant
Greta Regan

Greta Regan, Health Office Assistant: I am Seward's health services assistant. I am fairly new to this role, but not new to Seward. Before being the health assistant, I was one of the school's special education assistants. I love being a part of the Seward community! In 2016 I graduated from the University of Minnesota - where I studied psychology. I've learned so much since graduating about what I value and what is important to me in a career - and that's community! I love working at Seward because I love the students, they are all amazing and I am always learning new things from them. In my free time I enjoy spending time outdoors, both in the winter and the summer. I love to play ultimate frisbee, cross country ski, and canoe, and my favorite part of the day is the morning because I get to drink coffee!
