Dear Seward Families:
On behalf of every student, parents and staff, we would like to thank you in advance for keeping our children’s safety your highest priority. We understand that the school parking lot can be a source of frustration from time to time with the amount of traffic that comes through our school property each morning and afternoon. With the parking lot that we have been given, we have an established system in place for traffic that works best for our school. It is essential that each person does their part to use good judgment that puts safety first for everybody. Below are some helpful reminders when using the Seward parking lot:
Please leave our circle drive available for emergency vehicles (ambulance, fire vehicles) etc.
If you are entering the building to pick up your child, park on 22nd Avenue.
Be polite and courteous to other drivers. We are all Mon the same team at Seward and want to model positive values to our students.
It is unsafe to park in a no-parking zone (signs with red lettering and red arrows indicating No Parking).
When you bring your child to school, the circle is for dropping off and picking up only.
Leaving your car in the circle drive is prohibited when picking up your child. To respect other Seward families, keep the line moving safely and in a timely manner.
In order to keep all Seward students safe, go slow at all times. You would want other parents to do the same to protect your child.
Do not park in the handicapped parking spaces unless you have a handicap permit.
Our goal is to be as proactive as possible in trying to prevent dangerous situations from happening. We need you to implement these expectations every day. Your support is greatly appreciated and we hope that you understand that your child’s safety is our top priority. If you have any questions, please call Verlene Green at (612) 668–4950. Thank you.
