First Moves Residency

Seward E1 students participated in the First Moves residency during their weekly gym specialist time. The curriculum empowers students and teachers through creative movement concepts and vocabulary. 

AMAZE Curriculum Pilots at Seward

Seward Montessori is currently piloting a new anti-bias curriculum called AMAZE. Eight E1 and specialist teachers were trained in the curriculum and are using lessons in their classrooms.

Dreambox is Seward’s digital math program for kids in K-8. It offers a way to help kids understand math, and for many it also helps them enjoy math more. Learn more about this resource.

Studies have shown that food impacts student behavior and learning. MPS want to ensure that all students have access to fresh, nutritious food to support students in reaching their potential.

6th Grade Canoe Trip

The incoming 6th grade class and a gaggle of teachers and chaperones braved a light mist and brisk wind to heartily enjoy a group canoe ride down the Saint Croix River.

Pits & Alleys Fundraiser December 10th

Pits and Alleys is a fun obstacle course game that Seward students love to play in gym class. This year’s Pits and Alleys fundraiser will take place on Saturday, December 10th from 8:00 a.m.–noon.

November 2016 | The 2016–17 school year is off to a great start! We are finding our way around the additions to our school and imagining possibilities for all the space we have.

MAP Testing for Grades 1-8

MAP testing will replace the interims and benchmarks this year in both reading and math.  We will administer the assessments in grades 1-8 this fall and winter.
