These Science games can help the children reinforce their science skills.

science games and videos

There are many different games and videos in this section. Below are some tips to help navigate it. Please give me any feedback you have. This is a work in progress and I want to make it as easy to use as possible.

Virtual Lab: When you get to the main page click on either:

  • How Does Your Garden Grow virtual lab or
  • Critters! virtual lab

BBC Games: Click on the age group you want to play. Don't hesitate to play the younger games. They have things to teach you too! Take the quizes when you are done.

Study Jams: Click on one of the topics: Plants, Motion and Force, Solar System. Then click on one of the options below it. There are videos and slide shows. Be sure to take the quiz at the end! You may need to watch the videos more than once to understand them. Some of the videos are created for higher grades. As i watch them, I'll jot down any that are especially good for up to 5th grade.

  • The Water Cycle
  • Light Absorbtion, Reflection and Refraction (but you don't need to know about the angles of incidence or reflection)

FOSS Games: You have to click on this link to get to the games:

  • http://achieve.fossweb.modules3-6/index.html (or K-3 or 6-8)
  • That will take you to the page of games.
  • Click on an icon.

The games are in the top left corner under "activities"

PBS Games: The science games are Sid the Science Kid or Cyber Space. There are others on this site that aren't science.

Edhead: Click on Activities
