Seward Students Recieve Recognition in Annual Haiku Contest

Seward students receive recognition in annual Haiku contest, sponsored by Minneapolis and its sister city, Ibaraki, Japan! The theme of this year's contest was "smile." Laura Turner won 1st place in the K-5 category, Gail Fridlund won 1st place in the 6-8 category, and Corwin Amyx received an Honorable Mention in the 6-8 category. Congratulations on writing beautiful Haiku!

Snowflakes seem to dance,
Sunlight is shining harder
Because of my smile.
